Everyday I ask Eve what did you do at school today. Her usual response is “Oh, nothing… I played with my friends”. After I asked her a few other questions, she then details all the things she’s done. Then I get this email from her teachers. I had no idea that they are doing all these cool things.

Ihr Lieben,
This week we wrapped up our second unit “Dramatic Performances”. In our group the children performed little plays, which they reenacted old (“Goldilocks and the 3 Bears” was performed by Kyndall, Emmy, Kian, Clea and “Mortimer” by Griffin, Sofia, Eve, Yannis, Kian, Isabelle) or wrote new stories (“Die 3 Raeuber by Simon, David, Kai and “Aliens” by Jack, Carla, Isabella). They choose/made costumes, painted the stage back drops, practiced and performed their plays for the Grasshuepfer. Stagehands were also part of each performance! We were able to tape most of their efforts and hopefully, technology permitting, Carol will be able to make DVDs for all to share during the upcoming break!
The Pumas were also invited to the Kaenguru performance and showed respect and appreciation for the other group’s performance!
Next week the children will be busy preparing a surprise for their families, preparing another calendar, baking cookies, and sharing traditions.
Remember during this busy time of year one of my favorite quotes: “The time to relax is when you don’t have time for it!” (Unknown)
If any of you would like some additional action during the holiday break, Fridolin still needs a home for the holidays. If you would be willing to take him for the whole or part of the break, please let Carol know.
Enjoy your weekend,
Tschuess,
Nancy und Carol
